
BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
The Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU) honours the late Everard Dean for his significant contributions and dedication to the CCCU.
From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Dean served as Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the Board, leaving a lasting impact on the CCCU. In recognition of his exemplary service, the CCCU established the Everard Dean Memorial Lecture and Scholarship Fund on July 23, 1998, to honour his lifelong contributions.
Mr. Dean, who hails from Trinidad & Tobago, was the first Caribbean representative to serve as the 3rd Vice President of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) from 1990 to 1993. For his exceptional service to the Caribbean Movement and WOCCU, he was posthumously awarded the prestigious WOCCU Distinguished Service Award in 1997. His legacy continues to inspire future generations in the credit union movement.
Mr. Dean, who hails from Trinidad & Tobago, served as the 3rd Vice President of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) from 1990 to 1993; the first representative from the Caribbean to hold this position.
